Security Officer – Pick n Pay Careers

Job Purpose

• Ensure the safety and security of all staff and customers.
• Adhere to all security procedures, policies, and protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Security qualification
• Registration with PSIRA/SOB, Grade C

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Employee Interaction

• Interact courteously with customers and employees while enforcing security policies
• Offer efficient and professional security service at all times

Security Systems & Procedures

• Evaluate security systems and procedures and recommend improvements
• Liaise with senior management, external security organizations, and SAPS services
• Perform all security duties according to company policies and procedures
• Follow correct emergency procedures
• Ensure employees and customers adhere to security procedures

Risk Management & Asset Protection

• Identify potential security risks and take appropriate action
• Inform relevant personnel of any security concerns
• Safeguard company assets
• Remain alert and vigilant, scanning areas and taking corrective action when needed

Operational Duties

• Handle challenging customers and routine security tasks
• Stand for long periods as required
• Assist with alarm call-outs if necessary
