About the Role

Sea Harvest is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Superintendent to oversee and maintain food safety and quality standards within operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Purpose of the Position

To ensure the initiation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of all food safety and quality control processes in line with the company’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, specifically relating to frozen incoming materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor food safety and quality control systems across operations
• Ensure all frozen incoming materials meet established quality and safety standards
• Enforce compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks on products and processes
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain product integrity
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality control procedures
• Train and guide staff on food safety standards and best practices
• Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve quality systems
• Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in food safety, quality control, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality management systems
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to implement and monitor compliance procedures
• Good leadership and team coordination abilities
• Strong administrative and reporting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
