About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects with a hands-on approach, ensuring full understanding of project content and its alignment with operational objectives. This role focuses on achieving required outcomes and timelines for the Logistics division and other related areas.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage projects, including process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to deliver projects successfully.
- Achieve measurable business outcomes using structured project management methods.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
- Plan and schedule project tasks with accurate timeline estimations.
- Apply project management methodologies in all work activities.
- Assign roles and responsibilities to project tasks.
- Report on project plans, progress, and status updates.
- Communicate project progress and escalate potential risks or issues.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks and achievement of project objectives.
- Administer project activities including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, documenting minutes, and tracking action points.
- Compile and maintain comprehensive project records and ensure proper filing.
- Engage with stakeholders and provide timely feedback.
Project Related Tasks
- Conduct analysis and operational actions to support project outcomes.
- Examine and investigate business and operational processes.
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Record and report findings from analysis and project tasks.
- Develop process documentation, flows, and solution-oriented reports.
- Perform mandated research to support project implementation.
General
- Handle general administrative duties.
- Maintain organized project and office housekeeping.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management preferred
- PMI certification (CAPM or PMP) preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management
