Role Purpose
PepsiCo Vacancies is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and manage all maintenance activities within the bakery operation. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe plant operations, compliance with statutory regulations, and optimal equipment performance to support efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Strategy & Execution
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive maintenance program for the bakery.
- Oversee major repairs and breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintenance costs.
- Plan and execute preventative and planned maintenance schedules for all equipment.
Asset & Performance Management
- Drive asset productivity through agreed KPIs and operational efficiency targets.
- Ensure accurate root cause analysis is conducted for all major equipment failures.
- Lead equipment upgrades, improvements, and reliability initiatives.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure occupational health and safety standards are consistently applied.
- Promote effective communication and optimal use of talent management tools.
Projects, Budget & Inventory Control
- Manage and oversee maintenance-related projects from planning to execution.
- Plan, control, and manage the maintenance budget and consumables.
- Ensure effective spare parts, stores, and inventory management processes.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to support operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education
- BSc or Technical Degree in Engineering
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager
- At least 3 years’ experience in project management
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
- Previous bakery or FMCG manufacturing experience is advantageous
