About the Role
The Graphic Designer x 2 positions are responsible for creating engaging textile, graphic, and surface designs that enhance product ranges and marketing campaigns. These roles support Buyers by delivering visually appealing designs for in-store, digital, and promotional platforms, helping to connect customers with products and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities

Designing – Graphic and Surface Design

• Create original graphics, all-over prints, placement prints, and embroidery designs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Ensure all designs align with brand identity, customer preferences, and seasonal trends
• Prepare and organize final artwork files for supplier handover, ensuring correct formats, colour references, and technical specifications
• Adapt, rework, edit, and recolour existing designs to suit various products, materials, sizes, and pricing strategies
• Develop multiple design options per brief to support assortment planning and product range decisions
• Stay updated with current trends in fashion, graphic design, and surface design relevant to the retail environment

Administration, Systems & Design Governance

• Ensure compliance with internal processes, corporate identity guidelines, and design standards
• Maintain accurate formatting and storage of all artwork files for supplier use and future reference
• Manage and update design libraries, including print assets and reference materials
• Keep design trackers updated to ensure visibility of priorities, progress, and deadlines

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand briefs, product strategies, timelines, and business objectives
• Contribute creative ideas during planning sessions to support product development and promotions
• Clearly communicate design concepts and updates to ensure alignment and smooth execution
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in Textile Design, Surface Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a design role, preferably within retail
• Retail industry experience is advantageous
• Advanced computer skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Google Suite
• Knowledge of range building is beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and a creative eye for design
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• South African citizenship required
