Job Overview
Truworths Careers is seeking a qualified and proactive Facilities Co-Ordinator to join our Store Design Contracts Department at Head Office in Cape Town. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our retail property portfolio, supporting store builds, and optimising operational efficiency across the business.
Role Purpose
As a Facilities Co-Ordinator, you will manage and coordinate building and plant maintenance activities, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and support the implementation of systems and processes to ensure our stores operate at peak performance. Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate, track, and ensure timely resolution of building and plant maintenance issues across all stores, including HVAC, escalators, hoists, water ingress, fire damage, and related matters
• Prepare progress reports and maintain supporting documentation based on interactions with Property Management, Property Legal, Operations, Landlords, and Contracts Management teams
• Collaborate with internal departments, external service providers, and key stakeholders to achieve departmental and project objectives
• Support the implementation of new processes and systems within the department
• Maintain accurate record-keeping and ensure documentation compliance across operational processes
• Engage with store Operations teams, contractors, and other support departments to address facility-related challenges
Qualifications and Experience
• Matric/Grade 12 with NQF 4 in Facilities Management or Project Management (essential)
• NQF 5/6 in Facilities Management (desirable)
• 3–5 years’ experience in Property Management or Project Coordination, preferably within retail property or retail build environments
• Proficiency in MS Excel
