Job Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a detail-oriented Banking Administrator to join the Head Office team on a 4-month fixed-term contract. This role is responsible for accurately loading supplier payments on banking systems in line with Dis-Chem standard operating procedures, while maintaining precise and reliable financial records.

Minimum Requirements

Essential

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2–3 years’ experience working with Fixed Assets and Banking Systems

Advantageous

• Experience using SAP
• Relevant Accounting qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately load all supplier and banking payments on the banking system
• Perform account verification for all new beneficiaries
• Capture and maintain new beneficiary details on the banking platform
• Post deposit and final payment invoices to the correct vendor accounts within agreed timelines
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date perpetual inventory records
• Reconcile and balance Company Codes and Fixed Asset Registers against the General Ledger
• Communicate regularly with internal staff and external vendors regarding banking batches and payment processing
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Sound knowledge of Fixed Assets and banking programs
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Solid financial accounting knowledge
• High levels of integrity, accuracy, diligence, and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Effective planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Advantageous

• Previous experience working on banking systems
• Ability to speak a second additional language fluently

Special Conditions of Employment

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• South African citizen
• Clear criminal record, credit check, and MIE verification
• Valid driver’s license and/or own reliable transport
