Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the CDE department in Queenstown. The role focuses on providing technical support through the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain and coffee equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Purpose
Provide technical services to the Equipment Services division and stakeholders through the installation, maintenance, and repair of beverage equipment, maintaining high-quality standards and promoting customer satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Equipment Installation and Maintenance
- Install and remove fountain and hot beverage equipment
- Service, repair, and maintain fountain and coffee machines
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Test and calibrate equipment to meet quality standards
- Ensure all work complies with SHEQ systems and safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Manage personal development and performance
Daily Activities
- Deliver excellent customer service during installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Manage spare parts and apply precise hand-eye coordination
- Apply advanced mechanical and assembly skills
- Use conceptual and problem-solving skills for effective solutions
- Follow HACCP and food safety guidelines
- Maintain personal accountability and ensure work aligns with SHEQ requirements
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric or N3 in Refrigeration/Electrical
- Registered Trade Test in Refrigeration
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in refrigeration, vending, or fountain equipment maintenance and repairs
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (Code 10 advantageous)
Other Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record
