Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Intermediate computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with WMS CargoWrite or a similar Warehouse Management System.

Job-Related Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader or in a similar supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
  • Proven experience in stock control and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of inbound, outbound, and returns processes and workflows.
  • Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Experience managing and leading teams of 20 or more employees.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.

Main Purpose of the Role

The Supervisor, Operations is responsible for leading, coordinating, and controlling retail operations at the DSV Park Plumbago Distribution Centre, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality outbound service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

Daily Tasks – Outbound Operations

  • Supervise and control outbound operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Report daily to management on order status, stock availability, dispatch accuracy, and operational challenges.
  • Monitor staff attendance and ensure sufficient manpower to meet operational targets.
  • Conduct hourly floor walks to ensure health and safety compliance and efficient workflow execution.
  • Drive teams to achieve daily KPIs related to picking accuracy, packing quality, dispatch timelines, and service standards.
  • Maintain 5S standards across outbound areas, including picking zones, packing stations, and loading bays.
  • Ensure strict adherence to SPQRCE standards and operational procedures.
  • Recognize and reward high-performing employees to promote positive behavior and productivity.
  • Manage disciplinary matters related to performance, quality, or non-compliance.
  • Communicate operational risks, delays, or system issues to management promptly.
  • Support physical outbound activities when required to resolve bottlenecks and maintain service levels.
  • Maintain team motivation and focus on delivering consistent, high-quality outbound service.

Weekly Tasks – Outbound Operations

  • Prepare and present weekly performance reports covering KPIs, order turnaround, accuracy, and returns.
  • Investigate discrepancies and complete CAPA documentation with corrective and preventative actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery.
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings to review performance, address challenges, and plan improvements.
  • Manage outbound-related projects, including process optimization and new client requirements.
  • Resolve team conflicts related to workload, performance, or processes.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure alignment with overall operational objectives.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide structured feedback aligned to KPIs.

Monthly Tasks – Outbound Operations

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Monitor and review client-specific KPIs, ensuring contractual and service-level compliance.
  • Analyze monthly outbound performance trends, including order fulfillment, stock movement, and returns.
  • Identify and recognize consistently high-performing employees.
  • Review the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and implement further enhancements.
  • Conduct compliance checks against internal policies, SOPs, and client requirements.
  • Support training and development initiatives to keep teams aligned with systems, processes, and best practices
