Job Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking an experienced Beauty Therapist to join the Dis-Chem Beauty Salon team in Pretoria. This role focuses on promoting Dis-Chem’s range of skincare and body treatments while delivering professional, high-quality services and exceptional client care.

Minimum Requirements

Essential

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Relevant 2-year National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum of 12 months’ technical and practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment
• Computer literate with sound numerical skills
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous

• Relevant 3-year National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum of 3 years’ technical and practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding salon experience to all customers
• Perform facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures in accordance with Dis-Chem standards
• Handle and provide feedback on customer queries, complaints, and compliments
• Stay informed on new products, treatments, and service techniques
• Manage and control salon stock levels according to operational requirements
• Ensure all salon equipment is hygienic, well-maintained, and fully operational

Competencies

Essential

• Good understanding of skin anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for skin and body treatments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Team-oriented with excellent customer relationship skills
• Deadline-driven and target-focused

Advantageous

• Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming treatments, and spray tanning
• Training on laser or additional salon equipment
• Bilingual abilities

Special Conditions of Employment

• Willing and able to work retail hours
• Willing and able to travel to and from the salon
• Physically fit to perform massages, facial, and body treatments
• South African citizen
• Clear criminal and credit records
