Job Overview
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking an Area Manager for the Robertville branch. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Area Manager will oversee multiple Operations Managers, ensuring that client requirements, site security standards, and operational objectives are met efficiently and professionally. This role encompasses client liaison, HR and IR matters, fleet management, expense control, investigations, and the effective posting of Security Officers across all sites.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • PSIRA Grade A registered
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable personal transport
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the security industry
  • At least 5 years’ experience in operational security management
  • Working knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency
  • Proven staff management experience
  • Computer literate with expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • No criminal record or pending cases
  • Strong planning, administration, interpersonal, and client liaison skills
  • Leadership, organizational, and communication skills essential
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients regarding security services delivered
  • Manage allocated areas to ensure all contractual obligations are met
  • Ensure all Security Officers comply with client contractual requirements
  • Continuously evaluate service levels and recommend improvements to clients
  • Supervise and manage security staff to achieve required performance standards
  • Handle administrative tasks and operational documentation efficiently
  • Liaise daily with management and Regional Office on operational matters
  • Address HR-related queries promptly and manage disciplinary actions
  • Ensure timely submission of employment forms to the Regional Office
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly incident and operational reports
  • Investigate incidents and provide detailed reports
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standards
