About the Role
The Sanlam Financial Adviser is responsible for delivering professional financial advice, planning, and tailored product solutions to both new and existing clients. This role focuses on building a sustainable, high-quality client base, maintaining long-term relationships, and driving consistent sales growth while operating within a compliant and ethical framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide relevant financial advice and recommend suitable products based on client needs
  • Build and maintain a strong client portfolio that supports long-term business growth
  • Ensure all activities align with compliance standards and ethical practices
  • Strengthen client loyalty through ongoing service and relationship management

Business Growth and Development

  • Execute marketing plans and achieve targets aligned with business strategy
  • Apply market segmentation insights to drive sales within the target market
  • Meet revenue goals through single and recurring premium generation
  • Promote the brand while ensuring fair treatment of all clients

Networking, Prospecting and Lead Generation

  • Identify new business opportunities through networking and relationship building
  • Generate leads via social platforms, referrals, and professional engagements
  • Convert existing relationships into business opportunities
  • Expand services within the current client base to unlock additional value
  • Develop targeted campaigns to grow presence within the defined market
  • Monitor client activities such as policy changes, cancellations, or maturities to identify opportunities

Client Consultation and Sales

  • Conduct detailed client fact-finding and needs analysis
  • Provide comprehensive financial planning advice and solutions
  • Ensure all interactions meet compliance and disclosure requirements
  • Present tailored financial solutions aligned with client goals
  • Maintain accurate records using relevant systems and tools
  • Perform regular portfolio reviews to ensure ongoing alignment with client needs

Client Service Excellence

  • Deliver professional, ethical, and client-focused service
  • Resolve client queries efficiently and within agreed timelines
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and industry understanding
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through consistent engagement

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track and report on sales activities, client engagements, and performance metrics
  • Maintain accurate client records and update systems regularly
  • Monitor revenue against targets and ensure proper workflow documentation

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Compliance with FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements
  • Regulatory Examination completed for candidates registered with FSCA for more than 24 months

Knowledge and Skills

  • Financial planning and advisory expertise
  • Strong understanding of compliance and risk management
  • Ability to achieve production targets and manage performance
  • Client relationship management and advisory capabilities
