FlySafair is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager: Talent Acquisition to lead and enhance recruitment strategies, ensuring the organisation attracts, hires, and retains top talent aligned with business objectives.

Job Description

  • Implement proactive talent acquisition strategies to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future needs;
  • Develop and expand the company’s professional network through partnerships with HR professionals, suppliers, and industry stakeholders;
  • Strengthen and promote the employer brand through innovative initiatives;
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles, from sourcing to onboarding;
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and compile shortlists aligned to role requirements;
  • Design tailored interview questions specific to each vacancy;
  • Monitor, track, and report on recruitment metrics regularly;
  • Explore and implement innovative sourcing techniques and recruitment channels;
  • Identify and utilise effective job advertising platforms to meet hiring demands;
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of employee information to Payroll;
  • Maintain proper filing and storage of all recruitment documentation;
  • Apply data-driven insights to manage vacancies and reduce time-to-fill;
  • Provide management with recruitment insights and decision-support reports;
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records to evaluate sourcing effectiveness and workforce planning;
  • Oversee the coordination and allocation of Roaming Administrators for short-term operational support;
  • Ensure adherence to requisition workflows and recruitment processes;
  • Manage and optimise the use of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS);
  • Oversee and manage multiple job portals;
  • Take accountability for Talent Acquisition budgeting, including forecasting and cost control;
  • Review and approve invoices for Finance processing;
  • Lead, manage, and evaluate the performance of the Talent Acquisition team;
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and set clear team objectives aligned with business goals;
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment;
  • Stay updated on labour legislation and ensure team compliance with regulatory changes;
  • Conduct benchmarking and implement best practices in recruitment processes;
  • Analyse and benchmark market-related salaries across roles;
  • Collaborate with management to anticipate future hiring needs;
  • Advise hiring managers on effective interviewing and selection techniques;
  • Manage supplier service-level agreements (SLAs);
  • Work closely with hiring managers, HR, payroll, and recruitment teams to ensure seamless hiring processes;
  • Monitor recruitment progress and provide updates to stakeholders;
  • Align staffing plans with organisational strategies and business goals;
  • Act as custodian of recruitment policies and ensure compliance;
  • Continuously review and improve recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with labour laws and proper documentation standards.

Job Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (Essential);
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field (Essential);
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a mid-sized organisation, including at least 3 years in a managerial role (Essential);
  • Proven experience as a Recruitment or Talent Acquisition Manager (Essential);
  • Experience with job portals such as Pnet and LinkedIn (Essential);
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (Essential);
  • Experience with HR information systems such as Sage or SageX3 (Advantageous);
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, management practices, and relevant labour legislation (BCEA, EEA, SDA, and Codes of Good Practice);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and recruitment software;
  • Advanced Excel skills (Essential).
