Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the Equipment Services division in Port Elizabeth. The role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain and coffee equipment to meet quality standards and deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Purpose
Provide technical support and services to the Equipment Services division and other stakeholders through the installation, maintenance, and repair of beverage equipment, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and customer service standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Equipment Installation and Maintenance
- Install and remove fountain and hot beverage equipment
- Service, repair, and maintain beverage machines to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly
- Conduct equipment testing and calibration to meet quality requirements
- Complete work in accordance with SHEQ systems and safety, health, and environmental standards
Daily Activities
- Ensure customer satisfaction for installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Manage equipment spare parts and apply precise hand-eye coordination
- Apply advanced mechanical and assembling skills
- Demonstrate conceptual understanding and technical problem-solving
- Maintain understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
- Take responsibility for personal development, performance, and adherence to company procedures
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric or N3 in Refrigeration/Electrical
- Registered Trade Test in Refrigeration
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in refrigeration, vending, or fountain equipment maintenance and repairs
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (Code 10 advantageous)
Other Requirements
- Technical knowledge relevant to refrigeration systems
- South African citizenship
- Clear criminal and credit record
