Introduction

Clicks Group Careers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist Assistant QPB to join the team. This role is responsible for delivering pharmaceutical care services within the approved scope of practice and managing daily dispensary administration in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The primary focus is the accurate administration of prescriptions while ensuring exceptional patient satisfaction and service excellence.

Job Objectives

As a Pharmacist Assistant QPB, you will:

  • Provide professional and confidential customer service in accordance with SOPs and agreed timelines
  • Administer prescriptions and manage all related claiming and capturing procedures
  • Ensure accurate and complete processing of patient profiles
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals when required
  • Resolve queries efficiently and ensure timely follow-up

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers telephonically and through other communication channels regarding medication and healthcare services
  • Accurately capture and process prescriptions received at the Central Pharmacy Centre
  • Handle and resolve prescription-related queries
  • Maintain and manage patient profiles with precision
  • Assist with chronic medication authorisations
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Perform additional duties aligned with operational requirements

Knowledge Requirements

  • Comprehensive product knowledge, including OTC medication
  • Understanding of SAPC regulations and relevant legal requirements
  • Strong knowledge of chronic authorisation processes and procedures
  • Commitment to ethical practice and regulatory compliance
  • Customer-focused approach

Skills and Attributes

  • Computer literacy, including MS Office proficiency
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Bilingual proficiency, including English
