Store Planner – Pepkor Vacancies

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is available at the Dunns Support Office for a Store Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and allocating stock across a portfolio of stores in line with company strategy. This role requires a confident, positive, and resilient individual with strong analytical and numerical skills, capable of lateral thinking and delivering results under pressure.

Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in store planning within a retail environment
• Exposure to general logistics and supply chain processes
• Experience with planning systems such as Location Planning, JDA Allocation Planning, and/or Just Enough
• Proficient in Google Suite; advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills advantageous
• Understanding of the retail merchandise cycle, including Buying, Planning, Logistics, Distribution Centres, and Stores
• Knowledge of seasonal and non-seasonal replenishments
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent planning, organising, and time management skills
• Resilient, tenacious, and able to maintain high levels of initiative under pressure
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and accurate
• Deadline-driven with flexibility and adaptability
• Effective communication and assertiveness at all levels
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and pride in work
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong customer orientation

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate distribution of seasonal stock to optimise sales
• Optimise distribution of non-seasonal and seasonal replenishment stock
• Develop location plans to enable clustering of stores at the required product level
• Analyse store performance and provide accurate, timely information to support business decisions
• Prepare and deliver new store plans to ensure proper stock allocation
• Assist stores with stock-related queries
• Conduct regular store visits as required by the business
• Deliver seasonal and non-seasonal replenishment profiles at the required product level
