Main Purpose of the Role
The Data Quality Officer is responsible for validating, collating, and auditing data captured by programme teams. This role ensures data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with funder and DOH standards. The officer prepares and maintains data for reporting to Regional Supervisors, DOH, and Principal Recipients, ensuring all data is correctly logged, processed, and readily accessible.
Key Performance Areas
Data Quality Assessments
- Accurately capture data from paper forms into designated databases according to NACOSA guidelines.
- Track and log all received paper forms using the in-house tracking system.
- Review forms for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Verify data from paper forms against electronic databases.
- Handle and store data securely to maintain integrity.
- Respond to internal queries regarding data deliveries and schedules.
- Resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy in all data submissions.
- Supervise staff responsible for data collection.
- Verify compiled monthly statistics for accuracy and completeness.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with stakeholders to achieve company and departmental goals.
- Engage with stakeholders and represent ANOVA in adolescent and youth programme platforms and Technical Working Groups (TWG).
General Administration
- Create and maintain data files and relevant documentation.
- Ensure all documents are filed in accordance with ANOVA SOPs.
- Perform administrative duties within the data management department, including managing office supplies, handling stationery requests, and ensuring client records are accurately completed.
Human Capital Management
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company objectives.
- Adhere to all data management SOPs, guidelines, and confidentiality agreements.
Company Strategic Intent
- Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Report unsafe activities to Senior Management or Human Resources.
- Maintain decision-making authority as allocated to the position.
